[Hiring] Junior Software Engineer @Radicle Health

Role Description

As a Software Engineer, you will build and ship well-defined features and bug fixes across the full stack, with a focus on the data layer:

• Designing, writing, and tuning SQL Server queries and stored procedures that power our .NET Core APIs and React user interfaces.
• Work closely with experienced engineers to build technical depth and product knowledge.
• Follow Radicle Health's HIPAA and data-handling guidelines, including when using AI-assisted tools.
• Use mocked or anonymized data rather than real customer PHI for development and testing.

What You'll Do:

• Build and ship well-defined features and bug fixes across the full stack.
• Follow best practices for code quality, testing, and development processes.
• Take ownership of your work through launch and beyond.
• Collaborate actively with the team by giving and welcoming feedback.
• Protect sensitive data in line with Radicle Health's guidelines for PHI.
• Build a strong understanding of our products, customers, and the Health and Human Services domain.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in software development (professional, internship, academic, or personal projects).
• A BS degree, or equivalent professional experience or certifications.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server, including T-SQL, joins, stored procedures, indexes, and reading execution plans.
• Working knowledge of C# and .NET Core, including building or consuming REST APIs.
• A working understanding of full-stack development and data flow from SQL Server to React.
• A foundational understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• A basic understanding of source code management (such as Git) and deployment tools.
• A track record of contributing to the delivery of a feature or project.
• A sense of ownership and accountability for the quality of your work.
• A collaborative approach to working with other engineers, product managers, and QA.
• An understanding of the responsibility that comes with building healthcare software.

Requirements

• Experience with React, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS (helpful, but not required).
• Experience with database design and normalization, query performance tuning, and schema changes and migrations (helpful, but not required).
• Experience with Fluent UI (helpful, but not required).
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude Code or Copilot (helpful, but not required).
