Role Description

Revolutional is seeking a Junior SharePoint Developer to analyze business requirements and design, develop, document, test, migrate, deploy, and support custom and out-of-the-box SharePoint solutions for the Census Bureau's Decennial Information Technology Division. This role supports SharePoint Online and SharePoint 2016 applications and helps modernize legacy sites and business processes within Microsoft 365.

As a Junior SharePoint Developer you'll:

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SharePoint solutions.
• Design, develop, document, and support custom and out-of-the-box SharePoint solutions, including Web Parts, Web Services, and workflows, using industry best practices.
• Extend and customize SharePoint Online and SharePoint 2016 using JavaScript, jQuery, React, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), and Microsoft ASP.NET.
• Experience with Git-based source control, Jira, GitLab, ServiceNow, basic CI/CD concepts, and Agile delivery methods.
• Design and support SharePoint workflows using Power Automate and Nintex Workflows.
• Design and develop custom Master Pages and Page Layouts for applicable SharePoint 2016 solutions.
• Develop test cases and perform unit and comprehensive testing to verify the functionality and technical quality of deliverables before migrating applications to Production.
• Develop and support SharePoint Online and SharePoint 2016 applications using InfoPath, Nintex Forms, Nintex Workflows, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
• Document solutions, troubleshoot issues, correct defects, and support the development lifecycle for new and existing SharePoint applications.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 4 or more years of hands-on SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint Online development and customization experience, including custom pages and layouts, lists, document libraries, SPFx, and front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience developing or supporting SharePoint Online and SharePoint 2016 applications at a level appropriate for the junior labor category.
• Experience in front-end and SharePoint development technologies identified in the PWS, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, React, SPFx, Microsoft ASP.NET, and Bootstrap.
• Experience or demonstrated capability with Power Apps, Power Automate, InfoPath, Nintex forms, Nintex workflows, and basic Power BI solutions.
• Ability to analyze assigned requirements and design, develop, document, test, troubleshoot, migrate, deploy, and support SharePoint solutions under established technical guidance.
• Ability to develop test cases and perform unit and comprehensive testing to verify functionality and technical quality before Production deployment.

Requirements

• Experience building a SharePoint site, SPFx Web Part, Power App, Power Automate flow, Nintex workflow, Power BI report, or comparable Microsoft 365 solution through employment, internship, coursework, or a portfolio project.
• Exposure to the SharePoint Migration Tool, manual migration methods, legacy-solution remediation, and SharePoint site refresh or modernization activities.
• Familiarity with SharePoint site-collection administration, Microsoft 365 administration, Teams, Entra ID, Active Directory, Loop, or Copilot.
• Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, Docker, Splunk, enterprise application deployments, or software lifecycle and authorization processes.
• Microsoft fundamentals certification, such as PL-900 or MS-900, or progress toward a relevant Microsoft 365, Power Platform, or SharePoint credential.
• Experience supporting users or applications in the U.S. Census Bureau, Department of Commerce, or another federal, regulated, or security-conscious environment.
