[Hiring] Jr Fullstack Engineer @Encora

Role Description

You will work closely with the CTO to develop the technical strategy and deliver critical features for Phase 1 and beyond. You will be responsible for recruiting and working with the engineering and product teams as well as RET’s LPs, portfolio companies, and future customers.

• The foundational application and API for a multi-tenant property management platform that institutional operators will use to manage 5,000+ units across complex portfolio structures with billions of dollars in revenue.
• Customer discovery & advocacy: Understand and advocate for what’s best for customers through data and research.
• Estimation and roadmapping: Provide defensible estimates that inform the product roadmap.
• Pragmatic engineering: Ship software that drives value for early alpha customers, prioritizing urgency over technical perfection.
• Database Architecture & Schema: Own the PostgreSQL schema, write SQL for product questions, and design migrations for zero-downtime deployments.
• Partner Engineering Collaboration: Work directly with partner engineering teams to resolve data conflicts and propose schema fixes.
• API Design: Build APIs for both external developers and internal operators, making tradeoff calls based on data.
• Financial Ledger Accuracy: Write reconciliation queries and implement concession logic for auditing.

• Strong written communication: Clearly document decisions and explain complex ideas.
• Good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Design-first thinking: Prioritize design quality in all outputs.
• Agentic-First Development: Experience shipping software using agentic agents.

Requirements

• API/developer platform product experience.
• Revenue management systems (RMS) integration experience.
• Accounting Experience: Familiarity with workflows involving delinquency, collections, or accounts receivable.
• Multifamily industry experience: Experience shipping products in property management, revenue management, leasing, or operations.
