[Hiring] Infrastructure Software Engineer @MADIFF Polska

Role Description

This is a remote position. We are looking for an Infrastructure Software Engineer to join a team responsible for building and operating large-scale distributed database and storage infrastructure. The role focuses on designing low-latency, highly available, and strongly consistent systems, working with replication, partitioning, consensus mechanisms, caching, and fault tolerance. The engineer will develop performance-critical solutions using Go, Rust, or C++, troubleshoot complex production issues, and contribute to the scalability, reliability, and long-term evolution of distributed data platforms.

• Design and maintain distributed database systems
• Build low latency and strongly consistent data infrastructure
• Design and optimise replication mechanisms
• Work with consensus and coordination mechanisms
• Develop caching solutions
• Improve availability and performance
• Maintain data durability
• Develop performance critical systems in Go and Rust
• Operate production systems
• Troubleshoot complex production issues
• Participate in system design reviews
• Participate in postmortems and reliability improvements
• Work with infrastructure and product engineering teams
• Support development of the longer term infrastructure roadmap

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years professional software engineering experience
• Strong distributed systems fundamentals
• Replication

• Experience building database platforms, distributed databases, storage systems or large scale database infrastructure
• Go, Rust, C++ or similar systems programming language
• Production systems experience
• Strong debugging skills
• Strong performance analysis skills
• Raft, Paxos, ZooKeeper, etcd
