At Unsplash we’re enabling everyone to create by making visuals easily accessible to all creators, both big and small. Today, Unsplash powers more people and products than any other visual search engine in the world. Our team builds unsplash.com, Unsplash for iOS, and the Unsplash API, directly powering over 10,000+ applications including: Medium, BuzzFeed, Facebook, Squarespace, Google, Trello, and Square.

We build tools and features for both the free Unsplash library and the premium Unsplash+ library—a subscription product that supports Unsplash and the community of contributors.

Qualifications

• You’re a passionate engineer and hands-on leader that is razor focused on delivering measurable value through your own contributions, and those of your team.
• You have excellent technical chops, particularly with modern front-end technologies, and strong leadership skills that you’re excited to apply and continue growing in a highly collaborative and fast-moving environment.

Requirements

• Lead a small group of talented engineers building and enhancing features for unsplash.com.
• Collaborate cross-functionally (Web, API, Design, Data ...) to gain a deep understanding of our product, users, and what needs to be prioritized to keep Unsplash thriving.
• Develop, pitch and deliver product ideas and improvements that are aligned to business needs.
• Promote a culture of ownership, accountability and high standards.
• Maintain and evolve our front-end platform, ensuring it meets the availability/performance needs of our users, and is optimized for fast and frictionless development.
• Support team members in their growth and development, empowering them to achieve their career goals and deliver exceptional work.
• Use data to drive decisions, insights and continuous improvement.
