Role Description

The Frontend Engineer is responsible for owning and building high-quality user interfaces across responsive web platforms and native mobile applications within a multi-tenant SaaS ecosystem. Operating within an AI-accelerated development environment, this role transforms detailed technical specifications into performant, accessible, and resilient client-side software.

Working closely with Technical Leads, Product Managers, and cross-functional pod members, the Frontend Engineer ensures a seamless user experience for both business operators on web management surfaces and floor staff using true native mobile apps. Success in this role means delivering clean TypeScript code, maintaining UI component architecture, leveraging AI-assisted development tools responsibly, and ensuring real-time application interfaces perform flawlessly under varying network conditions.

Responsibilities

• Own the execution and UI quality across responsive React web applications and React Native mobile apps for iOS and Android.
• Transform locked technical specifications into production-ready frontend code following Spec-Driven Development workflows.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and coding agents under human supervision to accelerate UI component creation and frontend testing.
• Implement real-time user interface updates powered by WebSockets to dynamically display live scheduling, capacity shifts, and operational feeds.
• Build resilient mobile client behaviors, including optimistic UI updates, local state management, and retry handling for fluctuating network environments.
• Maintain consistency across surfaces by contributing to unified design systems, reusable component libraries, and TypeScript interfaces.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend microservices, authentication providers, and third-party APIs.
• Write automated unit, component, and integration tests for web and mobile interfaces to maintain high code quality.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement of AI-supported frontend development practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of professional experience building frontend interfaces for production web and mobile applications.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and modern state management libraries.
• Proven experience developing true native mobile applications using React Native for iOS and Android platforms.
• Solid understanding of WebSockets, real-time data streaming, and asynchronous state management on the client side.
• Experience with React meta-frameworks (e.g., Next.js) and responsive web architecture.
• Practical experience or strong interest in utilizing AI-assisted coding tools to speed up development workflows while maintaining strict quality control.
• Good understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, performance optimization, and device-native capabilities.
• Advanced English level (C1) with strong communication and team collaboration skills.
