Role Description

Immuware's customers, including Employee Health nurses, occupational health managers, and compliance professionals, work in one of the most requirement-heavy environments in healthcare IT. Regulations shift, organizational structures change, and new workflows emerge, often requiring hands-on work inside their Immuware environment. The Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) exists to meet that need.

You are both technically driven and a proactive, friendly, and compelling person. You will be embedded in the post-sales customer experience; you are not an account management, not executing billable project work, and not break-fix support. You show up on customer calls, quickly understand the technical needs of a health-system nurse manager, and provide the polished product quickly, ensuring a positive experience.

What You'll Do

• Proactively resolve customer problems end to end.
• Understand client needs and build solutions, serving as the bridge between customer needs and internal product and engineering teams.
• Partner closely with Customer Success Managers.
• Lead regular technical working sessions with customers.
• Identify, configure, script, and write code to solve customer needs.
• Translate complex Employee Health requirements into workable solutions.
• Question customer requirements and requests, choosing the simplest solution.
• Document solution designs in Notion and update live items in Jira.
• Generalize work into reusable templates and decision trees.
• Triage net-new module or record-type additions.
• Serve as the technical counterpart to CSMs on customer calls.
• Navigate internal client change and lead customer education.
• Build trusted-advisor relationships with power users and technical contacts.
• Proactively identify configuration gaps or risks.
• Stay aware of each assigned customer's environment, history, and needs.
• Confidently identify when to fix issues, create support tickets, or suggest product changes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical, customer-facing role.
• 4-5 years navigating Azure, JavaScript, and Typescript with a strong background in SQL.
• 2-3+ years operating in Notion and Jira.
• Proficiency in C# and experience with SaaS platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Structured problem-solving experience.
• Comfort working without a playbook.
• Written reporting experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare IT, Employee Health, or occupational health.
• Familiarity with immunization tracking and credentialing workflows.
• Familiarity with APIs and integrations.
• Prior use of Immuware or similar platforms.

What This Role Is Not

• Not account ownership.
• Not billable Professional Services.
• Not the L1/L2 support queue.

What Success Looks Like

• 30 days: Support an active deal.
• 60 days: Lead a solo engagement.
• 90 days: Own multiple, concurrent engagements.
