Role Description

• Lead the end-to-end architecture for Drupal-based applications (Drupal 9/10).
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance Drupal solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Define best practices for Drupal coding standards, architectural patterns, and deployment workflows.

• Oversee custom module development, site building, theming, and API integrations.
• Provide technical leadership to development teams and perform code reviews.
• Guide decisions on module selection, content modeling, and platform configuration.

• Work closely with product owners, UX/UI teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, solution architecture diagrams, and implementation plans.

• Lead integration of Drupal with third-party systems (CRM, ERP, SSO, APIs, marketing tools, etc.).
• Handle large-scale content migrations and upgrades from earlier Drupal versions to Drupal 9/10.

Qualifications

• 8-12+ years of overall web development experience and Drupal architecture.
• Hands-on expertise with Drupal 9/10, PHP, Twig templating, Composer, and Drush.
• Strong knowledge of Acquia, Pantheon, or similar cloud hosting platforms.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum, version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tools.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Requirements

• Acquia Drupal certifications (Acquia Certified Developer/Architect).
• Experience with microservices or headless/decoupled Drupal implementations (React, Angular, Vue).
• Familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP infrastructure.
• Experience leading distributed or offshore development teams.
