[Hiring] Django Developer @American Iron and Metal

Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Django Developer to join our growing development team. This role is ideal for a developer with at least two years of experience who is passionate about building robust web applications and collaborating across departments to create scalable, user-centric solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products aligned with business goals.

• You will develop, test, and maintain web-based applications using Django and JavaScript frameworks.
• You will design and implement new product features and enhancements.
• You will debug and resolve issues across the full stack.
• You will assist in organizing and documenting requirements from business stakeholders.
• You will participate in code reviews, design discussions, and development planning.
• You collaborate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Admin, Support) to refine feature requirements.
• You build and maintain ETL pipelines and data transformations for Power BI reporting.
• You develop integrations with external systems (e.g., ERP, email, data APIs).
• You can contribute to improving overall system performance, scalability, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Django and Python for backend development.
• 2+ years of experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (preferably Vue.js).
• Must be in the Pacific Time Zone or Mountain Time Zone.
• Proficiency with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with RESTful API development and integration.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Solid understanding of full-stack architecture and deployment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
