Role Description

This Senior role performs advanced analysis involving all aspects of supporting, improving, and enhancing the database and reports for a large project. This position requires strong SQL, PL/SQL, and Stored Procedure skills.

• Devise approaches to solving complex problems
• Provide thought leadership
• Manage project scope
• Provide ongoing updates on project status
• Exhibit a high level of skill in data aggregation and analysis
• Work for the section of IT-SEDS (Information Technology - Statewide Education Data System)
• Follow a defined software development life cycle (SDLC) process using an Agile-like approach for completing code changes for defined releases
• Work across multiple agency stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and efficacy of created reports, in the service of Texas's 1200 school districts

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in designing, coding, and supporting using Oracle SQL and PL
• 8 years of experience in Unit Testing
• 8 years of experience in Agile methodologies
• 8 years of experience in Documentation
• 3 years of experience in Jasper Reports Development (preferred)
