Role Description

As a Database Developer, you’ll play a critical, hands‑on role in designing and optimizing high‑performance SQL solutions that power complex investment analytics at scale. This is not a traditional DBA role — it’s a deep, problem‑solving development role where your work directly impacts how global clients measure and understand investment performance.

• Design, build, and optimize SQL Server stored procedures and complex queries that support large‑scale investment performance calculations.
• Map and transform data from custodial and investment data sources into structured, analytics‑ready data models.
• Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks across very large datasets (millions to billions of records).
• Partner closely with application and UI engineers whose reports and dashboards rely on your database outputs.
• Collaborate with onshore engineers and an offshore development team to deliver scalable, enterprise‑grade solutions.
• Contribute to platform modernization initiatives for new large enterprise client programs.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with investment performance reporting or analytics systems.
• Investment management industry experience is key.
• Solid understanding of core investment concepts such as:
  • Equity vs. fixed income.
  • Benchmarks and returns.
  • Custodial data and financial data structures.
• Ability to sense‑check and validate what “reasonable” performance outcomes should look like.
• Python experience.
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools for coding or testing.
• Background with asset managers, investment advisors, custodians.
