Role Description

The Data Solutions AI Application Developer II is responsible for developing, configuring, testing, and deploying AI-enabled applications and user interfaces that support business workflows and operational processes. The role utilizes low-code and platform-native development tools (such as Databricks Apps, Microsoft Power Apps/Copilot Studio, UIPath, etc.) to help operationalize AI capabilities, including generative AI and natural language processing solutions. Working closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, this role contributes to the delivery of scalable and user-friendly AI-enabled applications.

• Configure, test, and deploy AI-enablement applications using low-code/no-code platforms.
• Develop and maintain web-based application components and user interfaces using modern front-end and back-end development frameworks.
• Develop user interfaces that expose AI capabilities, including generative and NLP-based intelligence, to business and operational teams.
• Support integration of AI model outputs into business workflows and existing operational platforms.
• Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to support the deployment of AI solutions from analytical environments into production.
• Develop Python and SQL logic to support automation, orchestration, and system integration where low-code tools are insufficient.
• Conduct application performance testing and troubleshooting efforts to enhance reliability.
• Ensure application solutions meet usability, accessibility, compliance, and performance standards.
• Develop within Agile and iterative methodologies with rapid prototyping and feedback incorporation.
• Support deployment activities and incident management as needed.
• Partner with IT, analytics, and business teams to support successful application deployment and adoption.
• Participate in application design discussions and provide recommendations related to functionality, usability, and workflow integration.
• Perform any other job related duties as requested.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field required.
• Equivalent years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of required education.
• Three (3) years application development experience using OOP concepts or platform-based development required.
• One (1) year experience developing applications using modern web technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, Node.js, or equivalent frameworks preferred.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Experience building solutions in multi-tier or service-based architectures preferred.

Competencies, Knowledge and Skills

• Proficiency in Python and SQL to support application development, AI integration, and automation efforts; ability to extend low-code solutions with code when needed.
• Proficiency with low-code/no-code platforms, such as Databricks Apps, Microsoft Power Apps/Copilot Studio or similar low-code technologies.
• Ability to develop web applications using React, Node.js, or equivalent front-end and back-end technologies.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern web application development frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Python UI frameworks, such as Streamlit, Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
• Understanding of AI technologies, including Generative AI (LLM-based) and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Knowledge of UI/UX best practices and accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting and resolving application issues.
• Proficiency in Agile, iterative, and/or test-driven development environments.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-directed, innovative, detail-oriented, and adaptable to evolving AI technologies.

Working Conditions

• General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
• Up to 15% (occasional) travel to attend meetings, trainings, and conferences may be required.

Compensation Range

$83,000.00 - $132,800.00

CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level.

In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
