[Hiring] Cloud Systems Engineer @Dayforce

Role Description

A Cloud Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure solutions. This role involves working with various cloud service providers, such as Azure, to architect scalable and resilient systems that meet the organization's needs. The Cloud Systems Engineer collaborates with other P&T professionals to ensure the successful deployment and operation of cloud-based applications and services.

In addition, this role includes ongoing infrastructure lifecycle management, vulnerability remediation, patch management, and operational support. The Cloud Systems Engineer partners with Cloud Engineering, Cybersecurity, and application teams to maintain compliant and reliable environments supporting mission-critical systems.

This position requires participation in an on-call rotation to support production systems outside of standard business hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Proficiency in one or more cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and load balancing.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Cloud certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect).
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and migration strategies.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and microservices.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain or currently possess a U.S. security clearance, requires U.S. citizenship and residency in the United States.
