[Hiring] Automation Engineer @Compucom

Role Description

Our client is currently seeking a qualified Automation Engineer to join their team remotely and provide end-user support. This role is responsible for developing automation scripts and security workflows using Microsoft PowerShell to identify, report, and remediate system vulnerabilities. The role supports cybersecurity operations by integrating scripting with vulnerability scanning and patch management tools. This role will work EST hours.

• Automate patch deployment and compliance checks across systems
• Create scripts to collect system data, logs, and security metrics
• Assist in remediation of vulnerabilities on Windows Server and endpoint systems
• Develop reporting and dashboards for vulnerability status
• Support security audits and compliance requirements
• Work with IT and security teams to improve remediation workflows

Qualifications

• Understanding of enterprise automation architecture and development lifecycles
• Experience with:
• PowerShell
• SQL
• Scripting/automation experience
• Experience integrating systems through APIs
• Experience preferred with:
• Python
• CI/CD pipelines
• Infrastructure as Code
• GitHub/GitLab experience
• Must be self-motivated; will seek out issues to remediate without instruction
• Strong communication skills

Requirements

• The rate for this position is between $33.75 - $45.00 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
