Role Description

We are looking for an Android Engineer for one of our clients in Mountain View, California (REMOTE TILL COVID).

• Android software stack and services knowledge.
• Experience with ADB commands.
• Organize a backlog of issues following a defined process.
• Android debugging skills.
• Participate in core team weekly meetings.
• Review the list of issues, understand next steps, and respond to issues promptly.
• Triaging issues includes:
  • Identifying any duplicate issues/bugs.
  • Capability to review logs.
  • Finding the software module responsible for the root cause.
  • Updating bugs based on what was unearthed in investigations.
  • Reassigning an issue to the most appropriate owner or team.
  • Closing the loop with the reporter of the issue.
• Ensure SLOs for bug triaging and resolution are complied with.
• Ping the assignees to request feedback on dormant bugs.
• Android apps knowledge.
• Understanding of Linux kernel, vendor HAL.
