Role Description

Are you a cloud-based Customer Experience Software Engineer with experience in the implementation of AWS Cloud contact center solutions from Cisco Webex/Nuance IVR to Amazon Connect with Lex NLU, voice and web chat? You have a solid understanding of application development, coding, database structure, and application security. If you love software engineering, developing processes such as functional specifications, design specifications, code, unit tests, system test plans, and feature test plans for high-quality output, this is the perfect challenge for you! As the Amazon Connect Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
• CI/CD pipeline setup for contact flow deployments
• Lambda functions
• Environment management (Dev/UAT/Prod)
• Production deployment automation
• Build CloudWatch monitoring and alerting for the Connect instance
• Supports ACGR infrastructure deployment and manages environment promotion workflows
• Present during hyper care for production monitoring

Qualifications

• Current AWS developer certification
• 3 or more years’ experience with Amazon Connect and UC environments – experience must include Terraform, AWS CDK/CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline or equivalent), CloudWatch, Amazon Connect infrastructure automation, multi-environment deployment patterns
• 7 years of overall software development and/or CCaaS development experience
• Experience with software development, to include design, custom and common coding (using JavaScript, Python, Node.js preferred), and testing of real-time systems
• Implementation of AWS Cloud contact center solutions
• Work with customer IT Architecture team to design the end-to-end solution and provide technology guidance
• Discuss migration efforts in cloud contact center and aid as the Subject Matter Expert in the migration and deployment of the solutions
• Provide solution optimization and process improvement with unique template IVR and interaction routing
• Network infrastructure experience
• Experience creating and presenting technical design to stakeholders (technical and non-technical)
• AWS preferred

Requirements

• Lead development for CCaaS implementations on client projects
• Ownership and responsibility for end-to-end solution development including:
• Routing strategy
• IVR design
• API approach and external data integrations
• Design and maintain reusable code libraries
• Advise on testing strategy and provide input into test plans
• Ability to communicate how the CCaaS platform works and how it can be applied to solving business needs
• Hands-on experience in the development for contact center solutions
• Experience helping build client use cases, requirements, designs, and test plans
• Experience should include people and team management, enterprise architecture, and technical leadership

Benefits

• Applicants can expect to make between $150,000 to $175,000 upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon experience, skills, certifications, education among other factors as required in the job description.
