Role Description
If you are adept at identifying, installing and troubleshooting technical solutions, enjoy collaborating with multiple teams and frequent travel, we may have the perfect role for you! As a Systems Integration Engineer III you will be using your skills to provide technical support and troubleshooting for our products at critical or highly sensitive base or remote locations.
- Assess customer needs and determine the most appropriate technical solution for mature products and services
- Support the deployment of system upgrades including technical refresh of systems and major hardware/software upgrades
- Perform system error detection and correction, and configuration management
- Provide Subject Matter Expert support to field teams and system operators
- Write technical procedures, service bulletins, and assist in troubleshooting
- Test/Troubleshoot systems using test equipment, engineering drawings, vendor manuals, schematics, and written/verbal instruction
- Provide in-flight test, troubleshooting and training support as required
- Load and modify network switch and router configurations for operational and test use
- Operate a broad range of computing, networking, line of sight, and beyond line of sight systems
- Identify solutions for integrating new system components into existing architecture
- Liaise between local and visiting test organizations and Colorado AbMN engineering
- Act as the host and on-site subject matter expert for customers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
- Relevant experience may substitute for higher education
- Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience working in multidisciplinary design & development teams
- Understanding and experience with requirements development and management, system design, systems integration, technical risk identification, management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
- Understanding of and some experience with a wide variety of network related tools, concepts, technologies, best practices, and security procedures
- Security+ Certified
- Familiar and experienced with domain network infrastructure
- Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical troubleshooting techniques
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to establish strong customer relationships
- Ability to mentor on-site technicians
- Ability to deploy outside the continental US
- Must be able to complete aircrew training in accordance with local and federal requirements
- Current/valid passport and ability to obtain a visa to travel internationally
- Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment
- Ability to deploy for a minimum of 30 days to various OCONUS operating locations
- Travel expectation of 50% of the time
- An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Requirements
- Experience with DoD Software, Security, and Accreditation policies and tools
- Working knowledge of operating military units and logistics
- Fluent in Radio Frequency technology such as LoS and BLoS radios and datalinks
- Hands-on experience with a wide variety of network related tools, concepts, technologies, best practices, and security procedures
- ISR experience
