Role Description
This role involves developing Android applications and collaborating with product and UX teams to enhance app capabilities.
- Good hold over the Dagger/Hilt DI framework
- Proficient in Kotlin Co-routine concept
- Experience developing Android applications
- Specialization in location, sensors (gyroscopes, accelerometers), Bluetooth beacons preferred
- Expertise with Google Maps SDK integration
- Preferably from a CS background, focusing on data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent command over Android app development, Native SDKs, and third-party SDKs
- Proficiency in general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
- Strong understanding of build tools, unit tests, functional and compatibility tests
- Knack for benchmarking, performance monitoring, and optimization
- Good understanding of Push notification services
- Experience in shipping apps to Google Play Store
- Understanding of JavaScript fundamentals and knowledge of ES6 is a plus
- Focus on code hygiene with experience in linting, unit tests, CICD pipelines, and benchmarking
- Good verbal, presentation, and writing skills to articulate ideas and thoughts
- Experience with webviews, session management, security fundamentals, app versioning, metrics, and integrating third-party SDKs
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in Android development
