Role Description

For an international project in Chennai, we are urgently looking for a Full Remote Senior SQL Data/Azure Developer. We are looking for a motivated contractor. Candidates need to be fluent in English.

Design and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions across both on-prem (Oracle) and Azure cloud environments
Build and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models to support development of data products, reporting, and data services
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Utilize tools such as Dremio and Composite to integrate, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources
Perform data analysis and provide insights to support decision-making processes
Ensure best practices in data management, including data governance, data quality, and data security
Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and reliability
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve data solutions
Perform unit testing and ensure high quality of deliverables

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master degree
+8 years of relevant experience
Experienced IT professional working on large data and reporting applications as well as a strong understanding of Operational data stores, Data Warehouses, and/or Data Marts
Proven experience with SQL development including stored procedures with strong expertise in Oracle (on-prem) and Azure cloud environments
Shows an understanding of data management concepts – data quality, data lineage, data lifecycle, master/reference data management, metadata management
Excellent skills in writing PL/SQL and ability to read data models, infer data flows, and write complex queries
Has strong analytic, problem solving, and logical reasoning skills with high attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
Familiarity in using agile tools such as Azure DevOps
Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals
Preferred experience with other tools such as PySpark
Fluent in English
