Role Description
We are seeking for a Senior Software Engineer to develop software that supports gamers globally. In this role you will be responsible for the design and implementation of code and work closely alongside our product team to deliver outstanding features, whilst conforming to coding standards and technical design.
- Responsible for software development lifecycle activities, including system study, analysis, design, code, test and deployment
- Work with product and engineering team members to identify product requirements and help define scope, objectives, and plans accordingly
- Write, analyse, optimize, and debug application code to maximize security, performance and quality
- Document technical specifications and functional specifications
- Influence and guide other engineers
- Liaise with external partners in integration and seeing it from start to end
- Comfortable with working remotely and collaborating with team online when required
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in writing clean and efficient code
- Experience with Node/Express
- Experience with MongoDB, MySQL, MSSQL and ORMs
- Experience with test driven development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team
- Able to articulate clearly and communicate well in English and Mandarin
- Show willingness to keep up to date with technology trends
- Good understanding of security concepts and session management (SSO)
- Enjoys working in a collaborative, technically challenging environment with rapidly changing requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering field
- BSc degree in Computer Science or related field
Requirements
- Bonus: Experience in developing ecommerce systems
- Bonus: Experience with other languages like Python, C#, Java, etc
- Bonus: Experience with frontend frameworks (e.g. VueJS, ReactJS)
- Bonus: Knowledge of microservices architectures
- Bonus: Knowledge of serverless architectures
