Role Description
As a Senior Game Development Engineer, you'll contribute to the design and implementation of core gameplay systems. Your work will help build the immersive depth and responsiveness of the game world, including:
- Design and implement systems for weapon mechanics, ballistics, player progression, AI animal behavior, world events, and more.
- Contribute to and maintain clean, scalable architectures across core systems, sandbox mechanics, physics, AI, and world streaming.

Oversee the design and implementation of key features such as:
- Weapon and ballistics systems
- AI tracking and animal behavior
- Player progression and upgrade mechanics
- Live event systems and leaderboard tracking
- Mission and objective logic
- Performance and memory optimization for open-world content
- Work closely with design, production, QA, and art to ensure technical feasibility, accurate scoping, and delivery of high-quality game features.
- Improve development tools, workflows, and pipelines to increase team efficiency and code quality.
- Ensure all systems are performant and compatible across multiple platforms (PC and consoles), with a focus on stability and memory management.
- Ensure systems are reliable post-launch, including leaderboard tracking, event mechanics, and upgrade systems.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) / Metrics for Success:
- Timely delivery of core systems aligned with production milestones
- High system performance and low memory footprint across platforms
- Stable, low-bug gameplay experience during testing phases
- Strong collaboration with cross-discipline teams
- Successful post-launch feature support with minimal issues
Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional game development experience, with 3+ years in a senior engineering role.
- At least one shipped title with open-world, sandbox, or systems-driven gameplay.
- Strong C++ or C# skills (depending on engine), with deep understanding of game architecture and performance optimization.
- Experience with AI, physics, player progression, or inventory/upgrade systems.
- Hands-on experience with Unity, including tools and scripting.
- Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional initiatives and lead technical teams.
- Excellent communication and development skills.
