Role Description

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Web Developer contractor, with the potential to move into a Lead Engineer contractor role within 6 months or so.

Passionate about building quality software products.
Build reliable, observable, resilient, and scalable code that powers our suite of mobile and web applications supporting our providers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Hands-on role building rich experiences, helping make LawnStarter design system come to life in code.
Bridge the gaps between designers and engineers, ensuring the code scales responsively from mobile devices to desktop browsers.
Work closely with Product Management and Product Design across all engineering specialties to decide which features to build and how to build them efficiently.
Release new software every day, practicing continuous integration and continuous delivery.
Take pride in your work and inspire and mentor junior developers.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience working on client-side web software with modern libraries and frameworks (React/React Native).
Understanding of HTTP, Test Driven Development (TDD), XSS attacks, and MVC web frameworks.
Familiarity with CSS architecture including pre/post processors and CSS-in-JS, responsive layout, accessibility, and animation.
Experience working with design systems and designers or within a product design organization.
Understanding of fundamental computer science concepts without necessarily having a CS degree.
Firm grasp of SQL and databases, including non-relational databases and modern cloud database solutions.
Knowledge of CRUD operations, indexes, and differences between left join and inner join.

Requirements

Experience with PHP (Laravel) and TypeScript (React/React Native).
Empowered to own the entire life of your software, from initial design through release and observing.
Responsible for the software’s continued health to ensure it works correctly for users.
