Role Description
This role involves developing and maintaining backend infrastructure for our AI-driven learning platform.
- Design, build, and maintain performant, scalable APIs and backend services using modern frameworks and tools.
- Work with Postgres and other data stores to model, manage, and optimize application data.
- Implement integrations with modern platforms and third-party services (e.g. Paragon, Tray.io, etc.).
- Implement authentication, authorization, and integrations with third-party services (e.g., WorkOS, etc.).
- Build and maintain data pipelines that power user analytics, insights, and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with other engineers and product team to ensure smooth end-to-end functionality.
- Implement and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure consistent quality and reliability of code.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in frontend development.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a backend or fullstack engineer, building production systems and APIs.
- Experience working in modern TypeScript environments (Node.js, Express/NestJS).
- Strong familiarity with relational databases (Postgres preferred), ORMs, and query optimization.
- Comfort working with modern frontend frameworks (React/Next.js) as needed.
Requirements
- Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs.
- Experience building and deploying services in cloud environments (AWS).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Data pipeline or analytics tooling experience is a plus.
