Role Description
Comity is looking for a Platform Software Engineer to build out our research, market-making, and risk management platforms. You’ll be responsible for designing and scaling the core data infrastructure that powers all of these platforms, as well as integrating new data sources and market APIs as we expand our footprint.
- Work closely with researchers and engineers on price forecasting and grid optimization technology
- Collaborate directly with internal users on the Business Operations team
- Have broad impact and ownership over platform and framework design, technology choices, and team culture
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a backend software engineer
- Experience delivering complex engineering projects in collaboration with other engineers
- Excellent coding skills and adept at moving projects through all stages of the software development lifecycle
- Experienced and comfortable building data pipelines and working with traditional relational databases as well as cloud-based data warehouses
- Experience with Machine Learning concepts and technology is a plus
- Lifelong learner and empathetic teacher
- Strong foundations in technology, with experience in any part of the stack (Python, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, AWS) being a plus
Requirements
- Specification, prototyping, implementation, code review, testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident response experience
