Role Description
This is a part-time opportunity (20 hours/week). To thrive in this role, we’re seeking candidates with a minimum of 5+ years of experience as a DB Engineer and a strong background with Azure and MySQL spanning at least 3+ years. Your proficiency in migrating on-premises databases to the cloud will be highly advantageous in this role.
About the project:
- Multiple .Net and ASP CORE projects require migration, technical or functional upgrades, maintenance, and support.
- The primary domain is the customer recognition platform.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a DB Engineer, working with MS SQL and Azure Data services.
- Proficiency in MySQL administration.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in migrating on-premises databases to the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Migrating all legacy on-premises databases to the cloud.
- DB development and DBA support.
- Work with legacy SQL Server databases and Azure SQL database offerings, such as Azure SQL and SQL Managed Instance.
- Write scripts to automate database synchronizations, including data and schema changes.
- Independently analyzes, solves, and corrects issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
