Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Leader of ML/AI Solutions within the ML/AI team to join our dynamic team in the auto lending industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in artificial intelligence/machine learning, an understanding of lending processes, and a proven track record in business strategy and/or product management. You will be responsible for driving the development, delivery and enhancement of our ML and AI tech products and innovative features in the current setup, ensuring they meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders while aligning with our company's strategic goals.
- This position will work from home; occasional planned travel to an assigned Southfield, Michigan office location may be required.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including the Business Operations, Product, MLE, ML Platforms, Engineering, Analytics and marketing teams, to understand business needs.
- Spearhead the technical roadmap of business objectives-oriented AI/ML initiatives and manage performance and value creation through those initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define the vision, goals, solutions, processes and success metrics for AI/ML systems and applications.
- Work closely with the ML/AI and platform engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Partner with stakeholders and customers to understand evolving customer needs, industry trends, and the competitive landscape in AI/ML.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of AI/ML products and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, ML, Data Science, or a related field (preferred MS/MBA or PhD).
- 8+ years of experience leading the development and integration of large-scale technical solutions on cloud.
- Previous experience in a leadership position.
- Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong understanding of ML and AI algorithms with experience executing roadmaps from ideation to end-to-end development.
- 5+ years of experience using Python and SQL.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information at all levels.
- Thought leader with deep technical expertise and the ability to influence and partner with business.
- Ability to thrive with significant autonomy and responsibility.
Requirements
- Working experience in at least two of these functions: Product, Data Science, ML/AI, Data Engineering, Software Engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of Scrum and agile software development methodology.
