Role Description
As a Data Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our GovTech solutions — helping local governments make smarter decisions, faster.

Build and Optimize Data Infrastructure
- Design, develop, and refine data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes that power internal applications and product features.

Enable Better Products Through Better Data
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and product owners to ensure our data structures and flows support scalable, reliable software development.

Lead Cloud-Native Transitions
- Support the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud platforms, prioritizing performance, security, and maintainability.

Drive Quality and Automation
- Embed QA into your workflows and leverage DevOps best practices to streamline development and deployment.

Champion Scalable Development
- Make architectural decisions that balance performance with simplicity — always with an eye toward long-term value and clarity.

Collaborate Across Teams
- Partner closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions that work.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering with PostgreSQL and familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL)
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, query construction, and data model design
- Experience building cloud-based infrastructure, especially in AWS: Glue, Lambda, API Gateways, IAM, CloudFormation, and SAM
- Strong understanding of DevOps workflows, QA automation, and IaC tools (bonus for GitHub Actions)
- Proven success executing ETL/ELT projects and managing enterprise-level data migrations
- Knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- A growth mindset — curious, humble, and ready to own outcomes
