[Hiring] Back End Engineer @PARTSCLOUD GmbH

Role Description
Reporting directly to the CTO you’ll join a small but growing founding team of 5, consisting of mostly senior engineers working BE/FE and full stack. You’ll work with data pipelines and have an understanding of DS and DevOps. You don’t have a problem working across the stack when needed and you’ll get involved in all parts of the platform.
- Backend brilliance: Build and maintain backend services using Python (Django), shaping a scalable platform architecture that powers our frontend and integrates with external systems.
- Seamless integration: Design, develop, and document RESTful APIs to ensure smooth communication between modules and teams.
- Data science meets engineering: Implement algorithms for our planning and optimization engine and ensure data flows cleanly with robust ETL pipelines.
- Clean code, clean data: Import, validate, and transform data efficiently to support forecasting and inventory logic.
- Ship fast, sleep well: Contribute to our CI/CD pipeline, write meaningful unit and integration tests, and help deploy backend and frontend services with confidence.
- Own your work: Take initiative, work across the stack when needed, and own features end-to-end in a lean, ambitious team.
Qualifications
- You have several years experience working in either a BE position or a data position which included BE Engineering.
- Experience with large platform systems and distributed architectures.
- Strong data engineering and data science capabilities.
- Proficiency in Python, Django, REST framework.
- Entrepreneurial mindset (startups/freelancing experience).
