Role Description
This role involves working on data science and machine learning projects, focusing on client requirements and technical design.
- Understanding the client’s business use cases and technical requirements and converting them into technical design
- Mapping decisions with requirements and translating them to developers
- Identifying different solutions and narrowing down the best option
- Defining guidelines and benchmarks for NFR considerations during project implementation
- Writing and reviewing design documents explaining overall architecture, framework, and high-level design
- Reviewing architecture and design on aspects like extensibility, scalability, security, and user experience
- Developing and designing the overall solution for functional and non-functional requirements
- Understanding technology integration scenarios and applying learnings in projects
- Resolving issues raised during code/review through systematic analysis
- Carrying out POCs to ensure suggested design/technologies meet requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
Requirements
- Total experience of 11+ years
- Strong working experience in Data Science Fundamentals, Data Analysis & Visualization, Statistics & Probability, SQL, Model Packaging & Deployment
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI tools and frameworks
- Strong proficiency in Python, R, or Scala, with experience in libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Altair
- Deep knowledge of machine learning techniques (supervised, unsupervised, ensemble methods) and optimization algorithms
- Understanding of evaluation metrics for LLMs and best practices to build production-ready GenAI apps
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for ML model training and deployment
- Familiarity with data engineering tools and workflows including ETL pipelines and distributed systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively across functions
