Role Description
As an Applied Scientist at OnePay you’ll be at the forefront of our AI and Machine Learning innovation! You'll design and deploy machine learning, deep learning, and LLM models that will shape our customer experience, drive business growth, and improve operational efficiency while collaborating closely with product, engineering, and analytics teams. If you're interested in directly influencing some of OnePay's most critical business outcomes and are passionate about using AI to solve real-world problems at scale, this role is for you!
- Lead end-to-end machine learning model development: from design, experimentation, and deployment to scaling production models.
- Tackle real-world problems with both batch and real-time models, creating a tangible impact on customer experience, fraud prevention, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams from Product, Engineering, and Analytics to drive AI initiatives that directly impact our company’s growth and bottom line.
- Play a pivotal role in a fast-growing, dynamic environment. As we continue to expand, there are opportunities to transition into a lead or manager role.
Qualifications
- Hands-on expertise with 5+ years of experience building and productionizing ML/AI models that deliver measurable business impact.
- Strong technical background with a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Fluent in collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams to bring AI solutions from ideation to deployment.
- Proficient in Databricks (or similar platforms) and familiar with managing data pipelines and advanced analytics workflows in a cloud-based environment.
- Possess the Triple H Factor: Hungry, Humble, Honest. Thrive in fast-paced environments and approach challenges with an ownership mentality.
