Role Description

This role involves administering and supporting automated systems including construction and testing of applications within designated departments/divisions.

  • Analyzes work processes and feasibility of small to medium project requests; troubleshoots operational problems.
  • Monitors progress of own tasks and those of others in assigned projects.
  • Provides after-hours support when on-call, during major project implementations, and during scheduled maintenance.
  • Creates simple and effective documentation as assigned or implicitly required.
  • Designs and/or constructs efficient application modules, reports, displays, databases, and interfaces.
  • Determines impact of alternative solutions and encourages innovative and cost-effective solutions.
  • Develops thorough and realistic work plans.
  • Estimates resources required for task completion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in Information Services or a combination of Information Services and health care.
  • 2 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, .Net development, SSIS, and application support.
  • Understanding of infrastructure required by applications such as server operating systems, networking, active directory, etc.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of application specific function and work process.

Physical Demands

  • Lift and carry 25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use.
  • Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting, and performing CPR.
