Role Description

We are looking for an Android Developer to join our client’s team, working on Android's device side, focusing on system-level development and hardware integration. If you enjoy low-level Android work, hardware communication, and performance optimization, this role might be a great match for you.

You will become part of our client’s engineering team, developing and customizing the Android operating system for dedicated hardware platforms. The project involves:

  • Building Android from source (AOSP)
  • Integrating with hardware components
  • Developing drivers
  • Ensuring system-level performance and stability

Scope of responsibilities include:

  • Building, customizing, and porting the Android system (AOSP)
  • Developing and maintaining system-level components (HAL, kernel, drivers)
  • Collaborating with hardware and application teams
  • Debugging and optimizing system performance
  • Working with CI/CD systems and building automation
  • Ensuring compliance with security requirements

Qualifications

  • Experience with Android system-level development
  • Knowledge of Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and build processes
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Java/Kotlin
  • Experience with Linux Kernel, HAL, and driver development
  • Familiarity with debugging and performance analysis tools
  • Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD tools
  • General understanding of hardware interfaces and SoC platforms
