Role Description

The Senior Software Engineer - Build & Tools is responsible for Android Build Integration, Release Management, CICD Automation infrastructure and Tools development.

  • Merge source code between branches and take care of internal and external releases
  • Maintain AOSP branching, Code drop integration from remote server, code merge process, resolving conflicts and fix build issues
  • Coordinate with different stakeholders to provide quality software releases to customers
  • Design & Implement CI/CD Automation framework & Triage/Troubleshoot CI/CD & Automation tool issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software integration issues like software upgrade issues, merge conflicts, compilation issues & bisecting builds for bugs
  • Create tools and scripts to help improve AOSP build performance and analysis

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Android Build Integration and Release Management
  • Strong debugging and problem solving skills
  • Excellent knowledge on Android build & integration tools:
    • Version Control System: Git, Github, Repo
    • Code Review: Gerrit, GitLab
    • Archiving: AWS S3/Jfrog & Software versioning
  • Design and deploy Automation framework for Android builds and release

  • Good knowledge on Database UI development
