Role Description

The Virtual Sales Representative (VSR) is responsible for driving product awareness, adoption, and demand through compliant virtual engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and office staff. This role manages a targeted virtual territory, builds customer relationships, and delivers promotional and educational interactions via phone, video, and digital channels. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can operate independently, prioritize opportunities, and execute effectively in a performance-driven environment.

Accountabilities

• Customer Engagement & Sales Execution
  • Execute outbound calls, video engagements, and digital interactions with targeted HCPs and office staff.
  • Deliver clear, compelling, and compliant product messaging aligned to customer needs using approved materials.
  • Build rapport and establish trust through strong virtual presence and communication.
  • Utilize multiple company-approved digital channels to increase engagement frequency and expand reach.
• Territory Support & Account Management
  • Manage a defined list of target accounts, prioritizing opportunities to maximize impact.
  • Develop and execute compliant call plans aligned with brand strategy.
  • Analyze engagement data to refine targeting and execution.
• Performance & Execution Excellence
  • Meet or exceed call activity expectations, engagement goals, and performance metrics.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all customer interactions within CRM systems.
  • Manage daily activity efficiently to maximize territory coverage and productivity.
• Compliance & Professional Development
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, training, and compliance standards.
  • Ensure all communications are accurate, compliant, and aligned with approved messaging.
  • Complete all required training and maintain strong clinical and product knowledge.
  • Contribute to a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 1–3+ years pharmaceutical, healthcare, or B2B sales experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent virtual communication and presentation skills.
• Experience engaging customers via phone, video, or digital platforms.
• Proficiency with CRM and digital engagement tools.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• High integrity and compliance mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Inside/virtual pharmaceutical sales experience.
• GI or specialty experience.
• Strong analytical and planning skills.
• Fluency in one or more additional languages is a plus, based on business needs.

Travel Requirements

• 5–10% for national meetings or training.
• Familiarity with hybrid or virtual commercial models.

Salary

The expected annual base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000.
