[Hiring] Vertical Market Manager @HireIQ Solutions

Role Description

This role owns one or more vertical markets end to end:

• Identifying target customers.
• Building the collateral and sales training the rep network needs.
• Developing pipeline alongside reps.
• Holding the forecast and revenue plan for the vertical.

It is a hybrid of segment strategy and hands-on selling — you will be in front of end users with reps, and you will also be the person leadership turns to for market data, competitive intelligence, and product direction in your vertical.

Reporting to the Director of Sales or Director of National Accounts and partnering closely with Regional Sales Managers, the Vertical Market Manager leads rep firms in pursuing their assigned vertical markets through close engagement with principals, sales leaders, and their sales teams.

Current vertical priorities, in order:

• Data centers.
• End users with serious net zero and sustainability commitments.
• Large national networks of conditioned warehouses and distribution centers.
• Industrial applications with high expectations for reliability, temperature/humidity/IAQ control, and equipment longevity (food production, manufacturing, clean rooms).
• Healthcare.
• Hotels and hospitality.
• Quick service restaurants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the HVAC industry in manufacturing or construction-related fields, or equivalent experience in a similar industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following vertical markets: data centers, healthcare, hospitality/hotels, quick service restaurants, grocery, industrial/manufacturing, big box retail, indoor agriculture, food production, or fitness centers and natatoriums.
• Proven sales experience meeting or exceeding targets, and driving the sales process from plan to close.
• Proven ability to position products against competitors.
• Experience developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.
• Ability to write correspondence and present information effectively in one-on-one and group settings to customers, clients, and colleagues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong decision making, analytical problem solving, statistical analysis, and organizational abilities.
• Strong PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced environment.
• HVAC national accounts experience is strongly preferred.

Requirements

• Remote role based anywhere in the United States, with access to an airport offering direct flights to Tulsa, Oklahoma.
• Travel is generally 30%, or more as needed to fulfill objectives.
• Regular visits to manufacturing facilities with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Benefits

• Compensation: $160,000–$190,000 DOE + 20% Annual Bonus + 20% Long-Term Incentive Plan.
• Full-time, Exempt employment type.
