[Hiring] Upper Extremities Sales Associate @Stryker

Role Description

The Upper Extremities Sales Associate will partner closely with Sales Representative(s) in the area to quickly learn the medical device industry and Upper Extremities business, and then contribute to the growth of that business in the assigned territory.

• Partner with Sales Rep(s) in all aspects of the sales call pattern, including covering cases, marketing and promotion of products, building sets, managing inventory, and converting customers to Stryker.
• Attend surgeries to ensure all products are available for surgeon use and instruct surgeons regarding product use and functionality.
• Educate and inform doctors, nurses, and staff on proper use and maintenance of Stryker products, product functionality, updates, and educational programs.
• Work with sales teams to identify sales opportunities, deliver excellent customer service, and develop customer relationships.
• Identify needs of new prospects and develop appropriate responses in conjunction with the assigned Sales Representative.
• Following product training, tailor Stryker’s promotional message based on customer knowledge, advise on product selection, and answer customer questions.
• Perform field calls for the account(s) and assigned territory.
• Assist in implementing new sales plans and marketing strategies to meet and exceed business targets.
• Serve as the primary backup contact for Sales Representative(s) and acquire a basic understanding of regulatory compliance issues.
• Assist in resolving problems or questions that arise in account(s).
• Partner with Sales Rep(s) on inventory management and building proper inventory levels and sets.
• Assist in acquiring and processing Customer Purchase Orders (POs) for proper invoicing.
• Market the product line based on knowledge of functionality, features, and differentiators of Stryker’s Upper Extremities products.
• Remain current on industry, customer, and competitive trends.
• Participate in sales meetings and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours.
• Adhere to compliance and principles of responsibility (AdvaMed) by maintaining privacy and confidentiality, protecting assets, acting with ethics and integrity, and adhering to applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree OR
• Associate’s degree or Medical Certification (i.e. CST, PT, CPT, etc.) + at least 2 years of professional and/or related experience
• High School Diploma + at least 4 years of professional and/or related experience
• 4+ years of active duty military service

Requirements

• Demonstrated success in sales, military service, leadership roles, athletics, or other performance-based environments.
• Healthcare or clinical exposure through work experience, certifications, internships, or patient-facing roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Biology, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
• Completion of a relevant internship or professional experience in sales or healthcare.

Benefits

• $65,000 salary and may be eligible to earn commission and/or bonuses + benefits.
• Travel Percentage: 40%
