Role Description
Teledyne Gas & Flame Detection has brought together industry leading products to provide our customers with fixed-point and portable gas detectors and controllers with proven reputations for quality and reliability. We are taking applications for a Territory Sales Manager located in Texas.
The position will be responsible for profitable promotion and growth of the fixed gas detection portfolio in the Midwest & Northeast USA region. The successful candidate will:

Manage fixed gas detection business, partners, and end users in the region.

Support, consult, prepare quotes, and build relationships with partners, engineering companies, EPCs, and end users.

Display strong sales and distributor management skills.

Work independently while maintaining focus on Teledyne Gas & Flameβs values, strategies, and objectives.
This position reports directly to the Sales Director based in the Americas.
Qualifications

Detailed knowledge of fixed Gas & Flame Detection market in AMER region and closely aligned markets.

Detailed knowledge of Gas Detection & System (Technical & Sales).

Basic knowledge to provide first level of service support to customers.

Professional field sales record (5+ years) with a proven track record.

Proven ability to train and teach internal and external customers.

Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels both externally and internally.

Proven ability to create and maintain effective customer networks.

Demonstrated effectiveness in business development and lead qualification.

Degree Level qualification in sales/engineering/business or associated subject.

Requirements

Develop an in-depth knowledge of the fixed gas & flame detection product portfolio via successful completion of required sales and technical training program.

Achieve agreed sales targets for the region by identifying sales opportunities in new and existing markets.

Build strong business relationships with distributors in AMER region.

Manage and assess the performance of existing distributors.

Identify key end user accounts in the territory and implement sales plan.

Meet regularly with existing customers and distributors to understand their evolving business needs.

Prepare customer specific business plans.

Attend sales meetings and exhibitions in AMER and internationally.

Conduct sales presentations, customer training, and seminars.
-
Daily use of CRM, ERP, and other IT tools for customer information, forecasts, and reports.

Work effectively with other internal departments: Marketing, Inside Sales & Customer Service, Field Service, Product Management, and Application Engineering.

Attend conferences and professional association meetings to promote group product solutions and brands.

Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information on a weekly basis.
Benefits

Salary Range: $87,800.00 - $117,100.00

Actual compensation for successful candidates is determined based on several factors including location, local regulations, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
