Role Description

This is your opportunity to lead and inspire a high-performing, front-line selling organization responsible for Resideo Comfort and Security product sales! In this role, you will:

  • Hire, manage, and retain top sales talent.
  • Develop a "double-digit growth" culture in support of organizational strategies and goals.
  • Drive product and solution sales to a variety of HVAC and Security customers through Resideo customer channels.
  • Partner closely with sales leadership to shape budgets and selling plans.
  • Engage with management in the Integrated Business Planning process to deliver disciplined forecasting and execution.
  • Actively coach and develop the team to deliver impactful customer education through technical presentations.
  • Continuously build both your own and the team's product expertise in a team-based culture focused on innovation and customer satisfaction.
  • Strategically align sellers to customer accounts, ensuring the right coverage, engagement, and execution to drive sustained growth.
  • Gather and analyze competitive intelligence and market trends to inform product development and forecasting processes.
  • Lead opportunity management through our customer relationship management system (Salesforce).
  • Identify and generate sales opportunities and work to close new business on a recurring basis.

The ideal candidate will work remotely in Midwest Region metro areas (Kansas City, MO; Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; or Minneapolis, MN) with the ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of direct sales experience in a B2B/two-step distribution organization.
  • Successful demonstrated customer management skills.
  • Sales experience and knowledge in relevant industries (HVAC/Comfort, security, hydronics, smart home/IoT).
  • Proven ability driving a culture of data-driven decision-making with respect to customer sales.
  • The ability to travel up to 75% of the time, per position needs.

Requirements

  • Proven people management experience with the shown ability to direct, lead, and motivate team members to achieve sales goals.
  • Capable software/CRM system skills, with a preference for Salesforce and Microsoft Office experience.
  • Proven ability to manage ambiguous, complex situations and long sales cycles.
  • The ability to pivot or adjust team direction based on new conditions or organizational goals.
  • Proven ability balancing both customer and internal sales leadership/management goals in negotiation efforts.
  • Excellent organization & project management skills.
  • The ability to understand key business drivers.
