Role Description

Hitachi Solutions is looking for a high-impact Solution Sales Professional (SSP) to lead the next frontier of our AI growth: in industry focused Data & AI solutions. The ideal candidate is a seasoned solution sales professional who bridges deep industry knowledge with hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure Data & AI technologies. You bring a consultative mindset and the credibility to engage C-suite stakeholders — translating complex technical capabilities into compelling business outcomes that resonate at the board level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership:
  • Lead strategic conversations with enterprise clients, uncovering high-value opportunities where AI-driven solutions can transform operations, accelerate decisions, and drive measurable ROI.
  • Partner closely with advisory and architecture teams to shape early-stage opportunities and position customer strategic roadmap and transformation engagements.
  • Comfortable whiteboarding with an IT architect and presenting a business case to a CFO.
• Revenue Growth:
  • Own and grow a regional or vertical book of business, building pipeline from the ground up through executive relationships, partner co-sell motions, and targeted demand generation.
  • Proven track record of winning competitive deals and applying the right pressure at the right moment.
• Microsoft Ecosystem Expertise:
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the Microsoft solution area, including AI Business solutions, Data and Analytics, Data Science, AI/ML, security, and Modern development solutions.
  • Proactively build relationships with Microsoft account teams, Industry sellers, and Solution Specialists.
• Industry Expertise:
  • Deep, firsthand knowledge of at least one, and ideally two or more, of the following industries: Discrete or Process Manufacturing, Health & Life Sciences, Consumer Packaged Goods, Insurance, Retail, or Construction.
  • Understand how these businesses operate, where the margins are made and lost, and where AI and data solutions create the most transformative impact.
• Thought Leadership:
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and executive roundtables by delivering compelling presentations.
  • Thought leadership is a core part of how you grow the business.

Qualifications

• Solution Sales experience in a large consulting firm, preferably a Microsoft Partner.
• Mandatory experience in Consulting Sales.
• Setting Go To Market Strategy for Data & AI is mandatory.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Ecosystem is mandatory.
• 10+ years in Technical Sales or Solution Architecture and Professional Services.
• Advanced understanding of Azure AI Services and Data Platforms.
• Proven expertise in one or more of the following industries: Discrete or Process Manufacturing, Health & Life Sciences, Consumer Packaged Goods, Insurance, Retail, or Construction.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a complex, consultative selling environment.
