[Hiring] Solar and Storage Sales Representative @Generator Supercenter of North Chicago

Role Description

We are looking for a Solar and Storage Sales Representative who is passionate about sustainability, driven by results, and experienced in solar sales. This is an exciting opportunity to represent industry-leading products and be part of a team that’s helping shape the future of clean energy.

As a Solar and Storage Sales Representative, you will be responsible for:

• Generating new business, conducting on-site assessments, delivering customized proposals, and guiding clients through the renewable energy purchasing process.
• Expanding our residential solar and battery storage solutions across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prospect, qualify, and close new residential solar and battery storage sales.
• Educate homeowners on the financial and environmental benefits of solar and energy storage systems.
• Conduct site evaluations and gather technical data for proposal generation.
• Prepare and present professional, tailored proposals to potential customers.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and permitting teams to ensure a smooth handoff from sale to installation.
• Maintain CRM records, track leads, and report progress to management.
• Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven experience in residential solar sales, energy storage, or renewable energy solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of solar PV systems, battery storage technologies (e.g., Tesla Powerwall, Enphase, Generac PWRcell), and industry trends.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Comfortable conducting in-home consultations and site assessments.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Proficient with CRM platforms and sales proposal tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Studies, or related field (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for client appointments.

Requirements

• Experience with local utility rebate programs, net metering, and solar incentives.
• Familiarity with sales platforms such as Aurora, Solo, or Sighten.
• NABCEP certification or equivalent industry training a plus.
