Role Description

Availity is seeking an experienced Senior Sales Solutions Engineer to support the growth of our Healthcare IT (HIT) vertical. In this role, you will:

  • Partner closely with Enterprise Sales to lead technical discovery.
  • Translate complex business requirements into well-defined solutions.
  • Deliver polished, consultative demonstrations for sophisticated, technology-driven organizations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product and implementation teams to ensure a seamless transition from pre-sales to delivery.
  • Help elevate team practices through coaching and the application of proven approaches from other industries.

Location: Remote, US

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Solutions Engineering / Sales Engineering experience within a SaaS environment.
  • Ability to lead technical discovery, translate requirements into solution recommendations, and deliver executive-ready product demonstrations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfort operating in ambiguity.
  • Stakeholder management and ability to influence without authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Implementation/Delivery.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 15–25%).
  • Preferred: Experience in supporting large enterprise clients and complex buying groups.
  • Preferred: Healthcare or healthcare-adjacent experience.

Requirements

  • Partnering with Enterprise Account Executives throughout the sales cycle to provide technical leadership.
  • Leading structured discovery sessions to understand customer goals and document findings clearly.
  • Translating business and technical requirements into solution approaches.
  • Delivering professional, consultative product demonstrations tailored to each audience.
  • Responding to technical questions and objections with sound reasoning.
  • Creating and maintaining core pre-sales assets to support the build-out of the Healthcare IT (HIT) vertical.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Implementation/Delivery.
  • Supporting the development of strong handoff artifacts to reduce downstream rework.
  • Serving as a market-facing voice of the customer by sharing product feedback.
  • Coaching and supporting peers by modeling best practices.
  • Participating in customer meetings and onsite engagements as needed.
