Role Description

Jabil is at the forefront of the Connected Living and Digital Commerce market, an industry experiencing rapid growth and transformation. We are seeking experienced sales professionals with 7+ years of experience, particularly focused on the Robotics and Automation dynamic markets. Typically, the sales are more consultative than transactional in which the purchase decision is complex and long, value is the key, and focus is on the solution. Strong relationships at the executive level within key targets are critical to this strategy.

  • Business Strategy & Direction:
    • Define and execute a sales strategy aligned with the company’s overall growth objectives.
    • Build and maintain trusted relationships with prospective and existing customers at multiple stakeholder levels.
    • Lead the full enterprise sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through needs assessment, solution presentation, negotiation, close, and post-sale follow-up.
    • Partner with Sector VPs and Business Development to qualify and prioritize new customer opportunities.
    • Develop a strong working knowledge of the company’s operating model, business units, and go-to-market strategies to effectively position solutions.
    • Collaborate closely with Business Development, Operations, Finance, and Legal to develop competitive quotes and customer contracts.
    • Leverage CRM tools to identify, target, and track new business opportunities.
    • Provide regular updates to Sales and Marketing leadership on pipeline health, deal progress, and execution against strategy.
  • Commercial & Technical Responsibilities:
    • Partner with Marketing to develop and execute customer and product penetration strategies for new accounts.
    • Translate customer requirements into clear commercial and operational inputs to support scalable solutions and new business wins.
    • Lead RFQ analysis and deliver compelling customer presentations, ensuring financial targets are met, including profitability and RONA.
    • Effectively articulate and promote the company’s capabilities, global footprint, and service offerings to prospective customers.
    • Own and lead commercial negotiations with new customers, driving mutually beneficial outcomes.
    • Perform additional responsibilities as required to support business objectives.
  • Overall Responsibilities:
    • Market Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Digital Commerce and Robotics sector, leveraging Jabil's comprehensive manufacturing and engineering services.
    • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams, to ensure alignment with customer needs and expectations.
    • Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth, focusing on delivering tailored solutions that address customer challenges in the Connected Living and Digital Commerce space.
    • Technical Expertise: Collaborate closely with Jabil’s design and engineering teams to offer customers innovative and customized solutions that align with market trends and technological advancements.
    • Global Coordination: Work with Jabil’s global network of manufacturing sites to ensure seamless execution of customer projects, from initial design through to final delivery.
    • Performance Metrics: Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management and making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
    • Industry Insight: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies within the Digital Commerce and Robotics sector and use this knowledge to inform sales strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related area preferred.
  • 7+ years of sales experience in Robotics, Automation, System Integration or relevant industry, with a strong focus on Warehouse or Industrial Automation.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets, with a history of driving revenue growth in a highly competitive market.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, design, and engineering principles as they relate to the EMS/CM industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, coordinating with cross-functional teams across multiple regions.
  • Strong customer focus, with a commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs and delivering exceptional service.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing industry, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
