Role Description
ActBlue is building out a Partnerships function within our Customer Experience team, and we're looking for a seasoned partnerships leader to own it. This is a greenfield opportunity: you'll inherit some early pipeline work, but you should expect to largely define the function β its structure, its motion, and its results. The primary goal is straightforward: drive adoption of Raise by ActBlue and our broader Campaign in a Box product suite through ecosystem partners with networks of down-ballot and local Democratic candidates.
What You Will Do
-
Own and grow ActBlue's external partnership pipeline, targeting organizations with networks of down-ballot and local Democratic candidates β including state parties, candidate training programs, caucus-affiliated networks, and political organizations.
-
Build and operationalize the partnerships GTM motion from the ground up, including pipeline structure, partner tiering, outreach cadence, performance tracking, and internal collaboration workflows.
-
Negotiate and manage MOUs with ecosystem partners, ensuring ActBlue delivers on commitments and partners deliver on candidate referrals and product promotion.
-
Drive Raise by ActBlue adoption through partner channels β new Raise adoptions sourced through partnerships is the primary year-one success metric.
-
Serve as ActBlue's face in partner relationships at the executive and leadership level, operating independently without day-to-day oversight.
-
Collaborate closely with internal Go To Market functions and the broader CX team to convert partner-referred candidates into active platform users.
Qualifications
-
Demonstrated experience leading or building a partnerships or channel development function β you know what good looks like and can execute without needing to figure out the model.
-
Commercial mindset with the ability to structure partnership deals, define and track adoption metrics, and manage a portfolio with clear ROI accountability.
-
A track record of moving from relationship to signed agreement to measurable outcome in a business development or partnerships capacity.
-
Confidence and polish in executive-level settings; you can independently represent ActBlue's value proposition without support.
-
A bias for action β you're comfortable building structure in ambiguous environments and moving quickly.
-
Familiarity with the Democratic political ecosystem (candidate pipelines, political org operations, training programs, party infrastructure) is a strong advantage, as is exposure to political technology or civic tech.
Benefits
-
Flexible work schedules and an unlimited time-off policy.
-
Fully paid and trans-inclusive health, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their families; plus fully-paid health reimbursement arrangement to use for out of pocket expenses and fully-paid short- and long-term disability.
-
Fully paid basic and AD&D life insurance and a voluntary supplemental life insurance option.
-
Dependent and health care flexible spending account options.
-
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) benefits for employees.
-
Automatic 2% Employer-paid 401K contribution, plus up to an additional 6% match on employee contributions.
-
A minimum of three months paid medical, family and parental leave (for all new parents, adoptions included).
-
Commuter or home-office benefits, including a $1,000 home-office setup allowance for all new full-time remote employees.
-
Additional perks including quarterly snack deliveries and digital subscriptions to the Boston Globe & New York Times.
