Role Description

The Senior Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing and expanding strategic accounts, including Global Tier 1 and key regional customers. This role leads account strategies, influences commercial decisions, and actively contributes to business planning.

The position is accountable for driving revenue growth, enhancing customer satisfaction, and delivering value through strong relationship management, solid technical understanding, and effective cross-functional collaboration.

The role manages a defined portfolio of commercial accounts and distributors, with an estimated territory of approximately USD 12 million. It also involves close interaction with Global R&D Centers and collaboration with the MPM Global Marketing Organization to develop and execute strategic initiatives.

  • Account Management & Growth
    • Manage commercial activities for assigned commercial accounts
    • Identify growth opportunities and lead solution development
    • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with customer stakeholders
  • Technical & Commercial Execution
    • Translate customer needs into actionable commercial strategies
    • Coordinate internal resources to deliver differentiated offerings
    • Lead pricing discussions and contract negotiations
  • Forecasting & Performance Tracking
    • Maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline data
    • Monitor account performance and drive profitability
    • Contribute to business reviews and strategic planning
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with Technical, Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing teams
    • Share customer insights to inform product and service improvements
    • Support cross-functional initiatives and knowledge sharing
  • Leadership & Influence
    • Represent sales in internal forums and customer engagements
    • Contribute to segment-level strategy and capability development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, pharmacy, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in the Beauty & Personal Care market segment
  • Proven strategic account management experience
  • Strong commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Language capability: Native Portuguese; and professional English
  • Travel up to 50% in LAM and based in Brazil

Requirements

  • Experience managing global and multinational accounts (preferred)
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, forecasting systems, and commercial analytics (preferred)
  • MBA or advanced professional certification (preferred)
  • Spanish language capability (preferred)
