Role Description
As the Senior Account Lead, you will play a pivotal role in enabling Products Trading to maximize the delivery of end-to-end value across all key U.S. commodity markets. The role requires close partnership with the Regional Trading Lead to support the execution of key mandates. You will work alongside a team of professionals with expertise in Deal Making, Optimization, Pricing, Sales, and Supply Chain Business Development across the U.S., ensuring seamless integration and collaboration to deliver against key cross-book performance metrics. At the same time, you will help drive long-term business improvements across the region.
Your responsibilities will include:

Maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing customers while proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities.

Operating within the strategic framework established by the Regional Trading Lead, ensuring alignment with broader regional objectives.

Accountabilities

Own the customer interface and develop strong relationships with commercial accounts to build and reinforce Shellβs presence in local markets.

Lead the management of complex, multi-region and multi-product commercial accounts, ensuring seamless coordination across diverse markets and product lines.

Take responsibility for planning and supporting alignment with the integrated commercial team, leveraging collaboration across teams.

Serve as the focal point for local markets, gathering and relaying pricing discovery, market intelligence, customer RFQs, and competitor insights.

Champion market expertise in assigned business areas, leveraging market information and customer feedback.

Collaborate with traders to design and implement tailored deal structures for commercial accounts.

Oversee the complete deal life cycle, ensuring compliance and operational excellence throughout.

Work closely with the customer operations team to ensure customer satisfaction and service excellence.

Partner with credit, supply, and operations teams to balance business growth with risk management.

Collaborate across organizations and supply chains to optimize commercial barrels.

Engage with other Shell businesses (COBs) to serve customers seamlessly and share new opportunities.
Qualifications

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.

Bachelorβs Degree preferred.

At least 10 years of relevant experience.

Solid business acumen and a commercial mindset.

Solid proven track record in a B2B commercial role.

Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships while working virtually.

Requirements

This position is contingent upon the closing of a deal transaction.

The base salary range for this position is $149,000 - $223,000 per year.
