Role Description
As a Sales Territory Manager at MKS | Newport, you will partner with the sales team and leadership, business unit leaders, engineers, product management, applications engineering, and operations to provide solutions to our commercial OEM and end user customers' most challenging problems. You will have frequent communication with the customer and coordination with internal product management, project management, engineering, manufacturing, and quality resources. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Director, Commercial Sales.
You Will Make an Impact By:

Identifying business opportunities, meeting customer needs, promoting the brand, product offerings, and capabilities.

Developing and maintaining relationships with customers and accounts in the assigned geographical region.

Your primary focus will be generating new business at new and existing accounts to gain market share and increase profitability.
We are looking for an exceptional Sales Territory Manager who can:

Identify new opportunities, applications, segments, and markets for our products and capabilities.

Build solid relationships with customers at multiple levels in the organization and with our internal functional groups.

Work as a team with other MKS territory and inside sales engineers to grow total business.

Meet or exceed orders budget for assigned geographic territory and/or named accounts.

Develop and execute strategies for territory and specific accounts and provide accurate orders forecast to Sales Management.

Attend tradeshows, conferences, and make other visits (up to 30% travel).

Manage and maintain orders pipeline and opportunities in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.

Identify, collect, and disseminate sales best practices, customer requirements, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement of business.

Travel around 30%.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Physics, Engineering, or Applied Science (Master's a plus).

5+ years in a customer-facing role with a proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in previous assignments.

Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities.

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Self-motivated and effective in a remote environment.

Proficient in Salesforce/CRM, Excel, and Microsoft Office.

Benefits
-
Salary Range: ($120,000 β 165,000).
-
Incentive Payment: ($70,000 β 110,000).

A percentage of your total compensation is tied to participation in a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) based on achievement of pre-established targets.
