[Hiring] Sales Specialist Advanced Imaging @Danaher

Role Description

The Sales Specialist Advanced Imaging (SSAI) is responsible for driving growth of Leica Microsystems' advanced imaging portfolio across assigned territories. This role develops new opportunities, creates demand within strategic accounts, and provides consultative sales expertise for advanced imaging technologies, including confocal, spinning disk, light sheet microscopy, software, and workflow solutions. The SSAI partners closely with Account Managers, Key Account Managers, and channel partners to identify, progress, and close opportunities while expanding Leica's presence within the life science research community.

This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager and is part of the Life Science Research Division and works remotely to cover accounts in the Southeast region.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Collaborate with Account Managers, Key Account Managers, and channel partners to develop and execute account plans that accelerate growth across advanced imaging opportunities while supporting Leica's commercial strategy in dealer-supported territories.
• Generate new funnel and create demand by engaging principal investigators, imaging core facilities, translational research centers, and strategic accounts to identify customer needs and uncover future growth opportunities.
• Provide consultative sales leadership and technical expertise across Leica's advanced imaging portfolio, including confocal, spinning disk, light sheet microscopy, software, and workflow solutions.
• Lead team-selling activities from opportunity creation and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and close.
• Maintain rigorous standard work in managing your pipeline from opportunity creation to winning/closing a deal. This includes Salesforce opportunity management, visual management of forecast and funnel, identifying and executing on appropriate next actions to move an opportunity towards closing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or chemistry, or a related scientific field.
• Experience with biological imaging applications and advanced microscopy techniques. Familiarity with fluorescence imaging, confocal microscopy, spinning disk, light sheet microscopy, optics, and related imaging workflows is preferred.
• Multiple years in a research, quality-control or production environment, applying microscopy and digital imaging techniques to drive results.
• Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs, develop strategic account plans, influence complex buying decisions, and generate new business opportunities.
• Strong relationship building, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to learn sales techniques and tools.

Requirements

• Ability to travel within assigned geography as well as potential international travel will be required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
