Role Description

David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a growing company that is seeking to onboard a Sales Manager to join their team. Working closely with the Sales Director, the Sales Manager will play a key role in building and developing the sales organisation, establishing effective sales processes and driving commercial growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Sales Director to build and develop the sales function
• Help establish sales strategies, processes and ways of working aligned with the company's commercial objectives
• Recruit, onboard, manage and develop sales team members as the organisation grows
• Set clear objectives and performance expectations for the sales team
• Coach and support team members to improve sales performance and develop their commercial skills
• Monitor sales activity, pipeline development, conversion and revenue performance
• Develop and maintain a structured sales pipeline and ensure consistent follow-up of opportunities
• Support the team throughout the sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through to negotiation and closing
• Identify opportunities for new business, account development, cross-selling and upselling
• Establish effective CRM, reporting and forecasting practices
• Analyse sales performance and identify opportunities to improve processes and results

Qualifications

• Native or near-native level of English
• Proven experience in a Sales Manager, Sales Team Lead or similar sales leadership position
• Demonstrated experience managing, coaching and developing sales professionals
• Strong understanding of the full sales cycle, from prospecting through to closing and account development
• Proven commercial mindset and focus on revenue generation
• Strong pipeline management, forecasting and sales performance analysis skills
• Experience working with CRM systems and sales reporting tools
• Ability to establish structure and processes within a developing sales organisation
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
