Role Description
The energy transition is accelerating, and GE Vernova is helping lead the way. We are seeking a Sales Leader to drive growth in our Distribution Transformer product line. In this strategic North American role, you will lead a team of direct Sales professionals, Sales Representatives, and authorized Distributors to penetrate key utility accounts, Rural Electric Co-Operatives, and Municipalities to promote and sell our Distribution Transformer products. You will serve as a liaison between our factories and our customers, ensuring best-in-class service and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of a growth strategy for the GE Vernova (Prolec) Distribution Transformer (DT) business segment.

Be accountable for meeting or exceeding the order intake and margin plan for the DT business segment.

Lead a team of Product Sales Specialists in the development and execution of a plan to sell DT into target markets including Investor-Owned Utilities (IOUβs), Co-Operatives, and Distributors (into Municipalities and Public Power Providers).

Support technical and commercial tendering activities ensuring compliance with tendering and booking instructions.

Lead pricing strategy (based on competition intelligence and need for factory load).

Lead and support negotiation (technical, commercial, T&Cs, risk) activities.

Driving pipeline pulsing per region and actions to increase capture rate.

Lead business development roadmaps definition and execution.

Lead team to provide regular updates in SPEAk4GE (Salesforce.com) for opportunity pipeline.

Support team and work directly with key customers to position our products and factories; leverage GE Vernova (Prolec) DT competitive advantages.

Provide sales training to Account Managers and Channels including opportunity qualifications, competitive positioning, specification influence, and other initiatives as required.

Be the essential link from the market to the factories (engineering, tendering, forecast, supply chain, execution, after-sales support).

Support the factories as necessary in the execution of orders.

Provide forecasts (for factories and business), as well as market and competitive intelligence.

Work jointly with Marketing and Engineering teams to drive development and delivery of new products and services to meet customer needs and improve customer satisfaction.

Assist in partner marketing activities such as trade shows and other promotional events.

Manage expenses of team within budget.
Qualifications
-
Bachelorβs degree in engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge/experience.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Electric Transmission & Distribution Grid industry or adjacent industries with technical knowledge of electric transformers and applications.

Minimum of 5 years of commercial, marketing, or operational experience, preferably in the T&D business space.

Minimum of 2 years of experience managing/leading experienced Industry professionals.
