[Hiring] Sales Lead @PostHog

Role Description

This role involves building a sales & customer success function to scale the company beyond $100m ARR.

• Increasing sales velocity and hustle by getting sales teams to spend more time with customers.
• Building the sales machine that scales beyond $100m ARR.
• Establishing an outbound function (warm and cold).
• Creating predictable forecasts and repeatable pipeline creation.
• Improving market segmentation, coverage model, and deal ownership rules.
• Reporting to Tim (co-founder & co-CEO) and coaching a smaller team of second-line leaders.

Qualifications

• Held a senior role in a similar business managing and coaching multiple teams.
• Spent at least 4+ years building at one company.
• Able to understand and pitch PostHog’s products effectively.
• Based in the Bay Area and willing to frequently visit large current and potential customers.
• Experience setting up outbound sales or working closely with BDR/SDR teams.

Requirements

• Experience in a technical product, PLG with sales-led added in, that has scaled well beyond $100m ARR.

Nice to have

• Experience selling the no.2 or worse product in a difficult market.
